Season Six of the Songwriters at Play Song Contest will be held here at Moonstone Cellars on the 4th Wednesdays of the month (except Nov. & Dec. will be the 2nd Wednesdays).

Round 1 of the 10-month contest is Wed. May 22. 10 contestants play 2 original songs each, and judges award 3 prizes. Contest runs 6:30-9:00pm. No entry fee or cover charge.

May 22 contestants: Kelly Moreno, Devyn Brinsfield, Michael Wilds, Cassi Nicholls, Rich Krumholz, John Verdi, Gin Fragonard, The Belmores, Loren Radis, and Tim MacLane.

Prizes:
Best Song wins $50 for printing services at The UPS Store in the Marigold Center SLO,
Best Performance wins an hour of recording time at Damon Castillo’s Laurel Lane studios in SLO.
Best Overall wins an hour of recording time at Robbo Music of Morro Bay, and is invited to the Season 6 Finale in April 2025, where the Grand Prize is $1,000.

Signups are now open for Round 2 on June 26th, and Round 3 on July 24th.
